Watch how man hides his giant beard
This is crazy! He made his long beard disappear into nothing!

Wayne Bailey has a thing or two to teach us about changing your look. In a short video, he shows viewers how to take a massively long beard and make it disappear – all without any cutting, trimming, or shaving.

We think the final result is impressive, but you can check it out for yourself below and see if you agree.

Tying up a beard

First, he starts by adding some Grave Before Shave beard oil to his very long beard. He rubs it in both his hands and then works it through the entire beard, including the sides and underneath, making sure to get the skin and not just the beard itself.

Once the oil is in, he brushes the beard from top to bottom with minimal tangles thanks to the oil.

He then takes his entire beard and ties a knot in it about one to two inches above his chin.

Once the knot is there, he works on wrapping the rest of the length of the beard around it. Once all of the lower part of the beard is wrapped around it, he takes a rubber band and snaps it around it to keep it all secure.

He looks a little ridiculous at this point, but it’s about to get better.

He takes the beard hair under his chin and makes an “envelope” to slide the beard “man bun” into. He then flips that man bun knot up and into the remaining top part of his beard via the opening he made for it.

It disappears inside his now much shorter beard.

Like magic.

He then wiggles it around a bit to the side to make sure it’s secure and that the remaining short beard is even.

And it genuinely looks like a normal short beard.

Wayne promises it will stay there all day as long as you close up the opening that you used to slip the beard knot (okay, beard bun) in through.

Now, if you have a long beard and want it shorter for a job interview or anything else, you won’t have to find the scissors and destroy all the work you took getting it long in the first place. Just follow Wayne’s instructions and you’ll be short-beard presentable in under five minutes.

For beards that are a little shorter

If you think your beard might be too short for this technique, think again. Quite a few people have posted their own videos of tying up much shorter beards.

For example, this guy went from this:

A positive response

The original quick tutorial by Wayne received seventy-eight thousand likes before it went viral and people reposted and reshared it over the internet with a result of hundreds of thousands of people getting to see the near-miraculous video.

And he got plenty of thanks and gratitude:

“bad ass! nice beard and well taken care man . I told my wife I am letting it grow long and she was like do it !”

– Paulo Justiniano

“Bro, you just blew my mind! Never shaving again thanks to you :)). Only question is, how easy is it to get the knot undone again?”

– uSpotGaming

And it seems like there might be a few more long beards in the world now thanks to Wayne. There’s nothing wrong with that.
