At just 10 years old, singer Jackie Evancho stunned the world with her mature operatic voice. Considered to be a child prodigy, Jackie’s crystal-clear and rich sound moved some people to tears upon hearing her angelic voice.

In 2010, Jackie gained national recognition when she competed in the fifth series of America’s Got Talent. Inspired by the film soundtrack The Phantom of the Opera, she eventually finished the competition in second place after blowing away the judges and audience with her performance of the Puccini aria “O mio babbino caro.”

It wasn’t long before Jackie released numerous platinum and gold albums that netted sales of more than $3 million in the U.S. She became the youngest solo platinum artist and the youngest top five debut artist in the United Kingdom. She also was the youngest person to perform a solo concert at the Lincoln Center.

It isn’t surprising that all of Jackie’s albums have reached the No. 1 slot on the Billboard classical chart.

She’s also headlined three PBS television specials, appeared in a film at the request of Robert Redford and has performed before presidents and world leaders.

She’s been blessed to record duets with artists the likes of Tony Bennett, Joshua Bell, Plácido Domingo and Barbra Streisand. The Pittsburgh native also was the youngest performer to ever land a platinum record in the U.S. Jackie was invited to perform at the end of current President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C.

In 2012, Jackie ventured into acting and modeling, but never strayed far from singing. In 2014, she performed Ava Maria live from Longwood Gardens for a PBS special.

Wearing a tan, glamorous, fitted gown, an orchestra performing on either side of the parquet stage, Jackie belted out Ava Maria much to the delight of the audience.

With long loose curls framing her face, the teen with the voice of an angel sounded incredible.

Not too far into the song, a chorus wearing green gowns filed onto the steps behind her, providing a subtle yet beautiful harmony to her stunning sound. Ava Maria was composed by Franz Shubert in 1825 as part of his Op. 52. It became one of his most popular pieces, having been performed by many singers.

Jackie’s performance was shared on her YouTube channel and viewers raved over it. One user claimed it was the best version of Ave Marie ever heard before.

“…in Jackie’s voice this composition it is divine, sublime and ethereal.”

“No one sings like her. A gift from God.”

“I have never heard a voice as beautiful as this in my entire life.”

“She overflows with class, elegance and spirituality.”

“This just takes my breath away.”

“She has been incredible since she was a child.”
