Rosie is not your average kitty!

The bond between organisms of different species can be incredible.

Take humans and dogs for instance. Even though we’re completely different, we love each other unconditionally.

But what of cats and dogs?

Cats and dogs, at least to humans, are known to have somewhat of a rivalry. Everyone’s probably seen a dog and cat quarrel.

But not every cat-dog relationship’s heated. Cats and dogs can certainly peacefully coexist. It’s not exactly common, though.

One particular cat’s almost like the Tarzan of the feline world. Tarzan, of course, was raised by great apes in the jungle so the circumstances are slightly different, here.

Meet Rosie and Lilo of San Jose, California.

They’re furthering cat-dog relations everywhere!

In fact, Rosie was raised by Lilo and some of her Husky friends. Yes, you read that correctly.

Rosie’s basically a dog.

She just doesn’t look like one.

Rosie and her Husky family have a pretty fast-paced life. The group’s known to go on amazing trips, including stops in the mountains. Scenic walks are pretty common, too.

Rosie’s one absolutely unique cat, and she’s adorable. I’m not sure you’ll find a more adventurous cat.

Rosie’s childhood (or kittenhood?) was marred by hardship. She was found on the streets at only a few weeks old.

Initially, she struggled to eat. Her already problematic health began to decline. Her new human companions, the Bui sisters, had to think of something fast.

Their solution? Lilo’s warm embrace.

Laying and cuddling with Lilo seemed to do the trick. Rosie began to improve immediately.

Early in her life, right after she moved in with her new family, her mom provided a heartwarming status update:

“A little kitten update! Her name is Rosie🌹 She has been with us for about 5 days. She almost did not make it through the first night… Even with round the clock care. She was lethargic and limp. So we decided to go out on a limb and let her cuddle extensively with Lilo. By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo and Lilo went full “mom mode”. Even stimulating it to go to the bathroom..😦 (This was very shocking to me). Since then, Rosie’s been getting much better and her eyes opened! It’s probably safe to say Rosie has made it through the worse of it😊”

Now, Lilo and Rosie are practically inseparable. Kinda like Lilo and Stitch.

As alluded to, cats and dogs don’t usually get along all that well. Raising them together can yield some positive results, but it comes down to the temperament of the specific breed and individual cats and dogs.

Somewhat ironically, Huskies are known to have a pretty strong “prey drive,” making them a poor candidate to raise alongside kittens. But Lilo and her friends are an exception.

Their mother explains,

“Huskies are notorious for their intense prey drive!! So please please don’t run out and get a kitten (or a husky) expecting them to be best friends.”

Well, nature’s full of surprises.

That’s one beautiful dog family.

As stated, Rosie and her pack of Huskies are quite the adventurers. Climbing giant trees is just one of the things they get into.

And they love the mountains.

I mean look at those faces.

Rosie’s not your average cat. Many of her mannerisms directly resemble those of a dog. She’s incredibly fond of playing outdoors with her Husky buddies. Rosie’s more social than the overwhelming majority of cats.

Although she struggled out the gate, Rosie’s turned into a healthy, loving cat.

Her human mom goes on to state,

“If everyone loved the way Lilo & Rosie did, there would be no evil in this world.”

I’m inclined to agree.
