Although celebrating the holidays this year may be a little different we can still keep the spirit alive by decorating our house, sitting by the fire to watch a classic holiday movie, skiing or snowboarding, and especially by baking! According to Networx in an article titled “Which Home Chores Burn The Most Calories?” they say you actually burn calories while you bake,

“Baking (168 to 348): You can pre-burn a few cookies’ worth of calories while preparing them. The caloric burn level of baking varies widely depending on how much effort you put into kneading and rolling. However, keep in mind that each classic Nestle Toll House chocolate chip cookie has 108 calories, so plan on some strenuous baking if you plan to indulge in a plateful.”

However, the same old cookie may not be enough to cheer up what has transpired this year so here are 10 easy but clever shaping hacks to take your cookie to the next level.

1) Triple Swirl Cookie

Some of these hacks seem so easy we are left wondering how we didn’t figure them out before. Such as this first one for example, where all you have to do is take 3 types of dough and roll them into separate balls. Then all you have to do is take a plate (in the video, they use a clear pyrex dish) and simply push down and swirl together.
