Nearly all of us have dreamt of reinventing ourselves at least at some point in our lifetime.
The idea of staggering your workmates with a new and improved look, having family and friends almost not recognize you, is tantalizing to say the least.
Neglecting your appearance for so long can leave you stuck in a rut, and that’s where The Makeover Guy can help.
Otherwise known as Christopher Hopkins, The Makeover Guy is best known for his viral makeover videos on YouTube.
He owns the world-famous Appearance Studios, to which women from all over pay a visit, each with their own requests.
What most of these women have in common is self-confidence – or, rather, a lack of it.
Christopher’s work is usually aimed at older women who feel as if they’ve lost their way in life. It’s surprising how a bit of makeup and a hair cut and color can lift even the most negative perspectives.
But there’s no rule that says only older women can benefit from the transformative effects of a makeover.
Grace came to visit The Makeover Guy with her mom, Stacy, who loves Christopher’s work.
She was pretty open to letting Christopher do whatever he wanted with her appearance – with one exception.
“I would not like to see, like, any pixie cuts. I’d be willing to get medium hair, even like a bob, I’m comfortable with that. Again, as long as it’s not, like, the pixie cut or anything.”

On first look, it appears that Christopher has actually cut Grace’s hair into a pixie cut – but first impressions can be deceiving!
Grace certainly isn’t a typical Makeover Guy client. When asked about their biggest fears, most women say something along the lines of “I’m worried I’ll never get out of my cycle of self-hate.” Grace, on the other hand?
“My biggest fear is that my butt will go numb sitting in the chair all day.”
Comedy aside, she looks truly beautiful when Christopher has finished working on her.
She started off with mousey blonde hair that was looking a little dull and lifeless. Sensing that she would look good with something a little bolder, Christopher and his team turned Grace into a redhead.
While Grace was busy joking around with the film crew, her YouTube audience was too engrossed with the way she looked.
One person wrote:
“Wow! Impressive. She looked so dull prior to the makeover and then WHAM! GLAM! She is stunning. Great make over. Probably top ten.”
Someone else commented:
“This looks so much better. Great color and she could have pulled off the bob, too. Very cute and funny!”
There were many comments saying that Grace should be on TV, and that people would love to have her as a friend.
Even Christopher commented under his video early this month, saying:
“I don’t come back to many of my makeovers, but when this one pops up I watch, and smile, and remember how happy Grace made me that day. I only laugh like that with friends that I knew in my early 20’s.”
It looks like Grace made just as much of a lasting impression on the Makeover Guy team as they did on her!
