First time parents are often fazed by the concept of the “terrible twos” since the phrase itself suggests a difficult stage in child rearing. On the contrary, it’s far from terrible judging from the heartwarming and delightful anecdotes shared by moms and dads who have more experience.

In fact, if you read blogs, articles, and books written by happy moms and dads, they actually call the toddler stage their favorite.

Toddlers are adorable little humans with intense curiosity. They’re starting to discover more and more things about the great big world they’re in. It’s like one adventure after the other just waiting to unfold.

That’s why they want to do a bit of everything all at once.

Add to that the struggles of overwhelming emotions that they have zero understanding of, hence the phrase “little people, big emotions”. They think they’re independent enough to get things done without help. And sometimes that’s true, but there’s no stopping mom and dad from showing guidance and support.

They’re fun, talkative, and have so many tricks up their sleeves that it can be a bit hard to keep up. Basically, having a toddler is an adventure all on its own. And it really is true what they say: enjoy it.

Enjoy every moment, no matter how challenging, difficult, and frustrating, because they’ll be grown before you know it.

Time flies so quickly that the only thing we can do is savor each moment spent with these little ones. And since we’re on the subject of how wonderful the toddler stage is, here’s more reason to love and appreciate having toddlers around.
