In 2000, the all-male Bahamian group Baha Men released a groovy song that swept the music scene and set dance floors on fire. People quickly fell in love with this catchy, upbeat tune called “Who Let the Dogs Out?” The song won a Grammy for best dance recording and a Billboard Music Award for world music album of the year. It also won a Kids’ Choice Award for favorite song.

The song became Baha Men’s first hit in the United Kingdom and the United States, and it gained popularity after appearing in Rugrats in Paris: The Movie and its soundtrack album. The song doesn’t have anything to do with dogs, although there’s plenty of barking throughout the song. It’s more of a feminist, man-bashing song, people believe.

“The party was nice the party was pumping. Ah yepee ah yo. And everybody having a ball. Yepee ah yo. And tell the fellas stop the name callin’. Yepee ah yo. Then them girls respond to the call. I hear a woman shout outâ? Who let the dogs out? Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof. Who let the dogs out? Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof. Who let the dogs out? Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof. Who let the dogs out?”

Loads of people love to dance, sing and bark along to this song, and a 4.5-year-old little girl is no different. She is exuberantly skipping down the sidewalk on a sunny but very windy day with her mom and their dog Cooper. He’s a tree walker hound and happens to be her best friend.

As they stroll along, the little girl in her sparkly pink headband and matching pink shirt began to sing the Baha Men’s hit song “Who Let the Dogs Out?” The tree walker hound has the funniest most endearing bark, more like a bahoo sound.

As she sings the toe-tapping song, the black-and-white colored Cooper begins barking and howling on the appropriate parts!

It’s as if Cooper knows his best buddy is singing this song just for him. Their duet is the cutest thing ever!

One time while singing the verse, Cooper barks right on cue before his pal ever utters a sound. Mom can’t believe how funny they sound.

“He sang with you! That was wonderful! Good job!”

Fortunately, the little girl doesn’t know all of the words because there are a few phrases that she probably shouldn’t sing. Still, this wildly popular song is still a hit today and apparently among all ages.

“If I was a dog the party is on. I got to get my groove on ’cause my mind done gone. Can’t you see the rays coming from my eyes walking through the place like digi-man. Breaking it down me and my whitetail. Short coat. Can’t see color. Any color will do. I’ll stick on you. That’s why they call me pitbull ’cause I’m the man of the land when they see me. They say oooooh…”

Watch these two sing these crazy fun song as they embark upon their daily walk around the neighborhood. It’s hilariously awesome!
