Ladies, have you ever let your husband pick out your clothes? How did they go for you? Guys, how about you? Have you ever wanted to pick out your partner’s clothes?
Well, one couple tried a little experiment and this is how it went.
Colin went looking in his wife Caityln’s closet as she gave him permission to pick out her clothes for an entire week.
When she first saw what he chose for day one, she wasn’t so sure this was going to be a good idea.
He chose a print design dress, denim jacket, some pretty cool orange shoes, and a scarf for an accessory. Caitlyn told Colin she had a business meeting and had to look the part. She wasn’t so sure about his selection.
But, after just day one, she got lots of compliments on the outfit and says it’s something she would definitely wear again!
For Tuesday, he chose a bright skirt with lemons on it, paired with a sleeveless white shirt. Caitlyn says he chose a bag to accessorize that she had stopped using because she thought it made her look like a child. But, now it’s become her favorite accessory!
Wednesday was a special day as the two celebrated an anniversary. But, with two little kids at home, going out to dinner wasn’t on the agenda, so they decided to celebrate at home. Just because they weren’t going out didn’t mean Caitlyn couldn’t dress up.
He chose a sexy black dress for her to wear for the occasion so they felt like they were on their first date.
On Thursday, Colin went to the back of the closet and pulled out a dress that Caitlyn says she forgot about. She thought it was too short, so she didn’t really miss it. But, Colin says she looked great in it. Even though she said she felt a little awkward wearing it to parents’ evening, she still rocked the outfit!
Friday brought a casual outfit that Caitlyn says she usually saves for picnics, not a trip to her parents’ house that they had planned.
Colin told her she should be comfy while running after the kids. The slip-ons and cap were great accessories for this outfit that Caitlyn says she really enjoyed wearing.
Colin’s choice for Saturday’s outfit confirms he really likes bright colors.
He paired a bright orange dress with some black sneakers and his favorite jacket. At first, Caitlyn says she wasn’t totally into the outfit. They had planned to go for a walk that day so she wasn’t sure she was going to like it. But, it definitely grew on her and she says it’s something she would wear again. Go, Colin!
While the couple had no plans for Sunday, Colin wanted his wife to feel elegant and feminine even when they were just going to be home.
He chose a black dress that Caitlyn loved but hardly had the chance to wear. She was waiting for a special occasion but says that being with her husband is a wonderful occasion enough, so she shouldn’t have to wait to wear it.
At the end of the experiment, Caitlyn says she was impressed with how much time and effort her husband put into choosing all seven outfits. She decided that they are all suitable for every day and was happy when wearing them.
Caitlyn says in the end she realized something very important.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with clothing. If you feel comfortable and confident, go for it. And, if your husband wants to pick even just one outfit for you, let him. You may actually like the outcome!
