There’s nothing cuter than a brand new puppy, they instantly grab your heart the moment you see them. That’s exactly what happened to the police officers from the LAPD when they saw this adorable puppy wandering aimlessly. Not only did the cops rescue him, but they made him the newest member of the K-9 unit!
These two LAPD police officers rescue stray puppy, now he’s part of the team
Two cops from the LAPD, were patrolling just like any other day, when they came across cutest puppy they’d ever seen! The strange thing, the puppy was alone and wandering scared. The officer’s, Mercado and Tavera, couldn’t just leave the little guy.
Instead of taking the dog to a shelter, the piece officers had a better idea. After all, the police are always looking for good new K-9 officers to sniff out the bad guys.
They named the precious puppy “Hobart,” after the street they found him on
After the two officers rescued little Hobart, they immediately bonded with the tiny pup. He follows them everywhere, quickly becoming the newest member of the LAPD family.
The LAPD made it official posting a video of Hobart following around officer Mercado on their Twitter account captioned:

Officers Mercado & Tavera found a puppy while on patrol near Hobart Blvd, they took him back to the station and have officially renamed him, “Hobart” Welcome to LAPD Hobart!
The video they posted to Twitter went semi-viral, with almost 18k views
People on Twitter fell in love with the rescued puppy, I’m sure Hobart would’ve had no problem finding a home if the LAPD hadn’t scooped him up. Maybe he’ll become the next ‘Scruff McGruff!’
