Sure, most toddlers sound cute. But Olan’s strong Southern drawl is something else.
Olan the toddler is growing up on a farm in Alabama.
That means two things: he has lots of stories about the animals, and he has a thick Southern accent!
One video shows this off perfectly.
Olan’s mom asks him to tell the story about the cow.
The boy gazes into the distance, as if he’s remembering a life event from long, long ago. As the boy is only two, technically it was quite long ago, as far as he’s concerned.
So he begins talking about the, “little cayow.” That second word is cow to anyone unfamiliar with the Deep South.
Then he recounts how someone put a bridle on the cow and that he was riding on it.
The mom then wonders what the cow then did to Olan. Olan explains, “He knocked me owff.”
The parents then ask the boy about another cow story. Olan reassures them that he has tons of cow stories.
But instead of going on about the time a cow licked his foot, like his parents want him to, Olan goes back to talking about the time that the cow bucked him off the bridle.
Then he explains that he put the cow, “in the ‘ittle pen, and he di’n’t ‘tay in, an’ he jumped ayout.”
Then Olan switches to a story about how a motorcycle bucked him off. The video cuts out there, presumably before Olan says something that will have CPS knocking on the door.
Olan’s mom then uploaded the video to the family YouTube channel, where it soon made a huge impact.
To date, it has gained over 580,000 views. It also has more than 13,000 likes and 400 comments. People have been saying things like this:
And Olan has starred in many other funny YouTube videos.
In another video, Olan explains how he saw The Lion King and noticed one particular animal. That animal is the, “Tigh tanoes.”
The mom is confused. “You saw what?” she asks. “Tigh tanoes!” he says enthusiastically while eating a lollypop.
The mom realizes what he meant. “You mean hyenas?”
Olan confirms that she’s right. Why would she need to repeat that? He said it loud and clear before, right?
Then Olan talks about his favorite character, “Scour,” also known as Scar.
Another popular Olan video shows him imitating an auctioneer at a cattle sale.
He says that the auctioneer spoke like this, “Hobbboba hobbobbba hobbbobbba.”
The mom asks Olan if that’s what they did. “That’s what they did,” Olan confidently replies.
Then Olan goes on about how they herded the cows. But this time, it seems like Olan didn’t fall off any of the cows, which must have been a relief!
Olan’s family also just got bigger. His mom just had a baby girl, whose name is Harlan.
Harlan has only starred in one video so far. But she’s just as cute as her big brother! In that video, she laughs and laughs. She and Olan are sure to have fantastic childhoods on the farm!
