Last week a video created by men’s rights activists (MRAs) began circulating on the internet. Supposedly entitled The Last Jedi: De-Feminized Fanedit, the movie was Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, minus all scenes featuring a female performer.
The anonymous creator described it as:
…basically The Last Jedi minus Girlz Powah and other silly stuff.
The edit was obviously an incredibly sexist gesture, and the team behind The Last Jedi openly mocked it on Twitter:

Fortunately, Twitter user @LoganJames had the perfect response. Knowing tit for tat was fair play, he released a version of Saving Private Ryan with all the men edited out.
The video fit easily into a Twitter post, since, without any men, the movie is only two and a half minutes long.
In response to the MRA douche who edited all the women out of #TheLastJedi, I decided to edit all of the men out of Saving Private Ryan. Here it is in its entirety. pic.twitter.com/egZTDhDKi3

Ryan’s edit quickly went viral, so he followed up with a male-free version of another classic: The Shawshank Redemption:
If you liked Saving Private Ryan with all the men edited out, then you'll LOVE the man-free edition of the Shawshank Redemption! Only a minute and a half long! pic.twitter.com/XzwZMb60dx

Most people loved the @LoganJames cuts:
I'm on my third watch of it. Instant classic, better than the original.

This is masterful. Thank you.
Actual LOL at the gun ascension scene.

These new versions might have garnered enough praise to premiere in theaters…
Still good

Most people can probably agree that no sane person would want to cut the incredible Daisy Ridley or Carrie Fisher out of a movie.
Also, watching these male-less versions of cinema classics will save you loads of time.
I think there was one or two scenes where a woman said something but there was also a man in the shot so I had to cut it
