It’s no secret that pets fear the vet. Regardless of what type of pet it is, they tend to not like their visits. Cats are definitely no stranger to this. And boy do they shine in these photos.
You just might laugh at some of the scaredy cats in these photos. But it’s hard not to feel bad for some of them. Just know, no cats were harmed! The vet is our friend and shouldn’t be feared! While some pets are able to make the correlation at some point that vets are good, others don’t care for it either way!
Take a look at some of these scaredy cats who think the vet is their number one enemy!
Maybe they’ll think he’s a part of the poster above him. What if he fell out of the picture somehow?
Anything is possible!
2) Let’s Get Ready to Rumble
This cat came out ready for action! Look at those fangs! She was not going to take going to the vet lightly.
3) Maybe If I Go Away, They Will
Every time the vet left the room, he got back into the sink! Look at those ears go down!
4) The Real Life Puss in Boots
Aww, he’s waiting for the vet! I say we let him do whatever he wants. He’s just so adorable!
Maybe he wasn’t hiding. Some cats just want the lollipops and stickers that come with just showing up! Or is that luxury only reserved for humans?
Now you– still see me? It was worth a shot. This cat is definitely taking the high road. Rather than fighting back, she’s deciding to wait things out.
Proceed at your own risk! This cat clearly doesn’t want to be bothered. Maybe a nap in the sink wouldn’t hurt because bites sure do!
It took the owner 10 minutes to get his cat into the carrier. When they get to the vet, he refuses to come out!
Yep. Sounds about right.
It’s rare to see cats behaving like dogs! This feline needs the comfort of her mama for her vet visits. How precious!
Sometimes you just can’t fit. This cat didn’t have many options for hiding places. But the effort is tremendous and admirable.
I rather not! Even without nails, just look at those chompers! I’d hate to be on the other end of that glare.
“They’ll never find me here!”
I mean if you’re very still, it just might work.
This cat gets the whole hiding thing! What a perfect spot for her. It might take awhile to find her but she’s there!
14) What’s Going on Back There?
The face you make when reality sets in. Think happy thoughts… But his face says it best.
At least she’s in a cozy spot! She decided to hide in the warmth of her most trusted confidant. She looks comfortable yet scared.
For pets that really hate water, cats really seem to enjoy the sink. How?!
They say it’s a cat but I have some reservations… I just hope she can make it all the way through because at the moment, very obvious!
You’re up! That’s never fun to hear at the doctor’s office! Just think, you’ll get to be healthy!
Boo.
I think this cat is at the wrong appointment. Those eyes are clearly lasers. I vote we let her go!
Some things are just better together. When one cat was taken from its carrier, it ran to be with the other.
“You’ll never take the both of us alive!”
The dog is even wandering what’s going on here. That pink though… at least she looks fashionable while looking frightened.
One quick sweep of this area and you’d never know that the cat was there. This cat put in effort to not be seen again. Clever kitty.
“Thank you, human! You have not failed me today.”
Let’s see how long this lasts…
This could have worked no thanks to his owner. But it looks like he’s not gonna budge. Can’t say that I blame him!
25) “You brought me where?!”
The ultimate betryal. One minute you’re promised cat nip and the next, you’re at a vet. There was no warning!
You still owe him cat nip!
26) When Your Cat Won’t Break
Even after taking apart the crate, he wouldn’t come out! The determination here is one for the books. Who needs a warm blanket anyway? The floor is fine.
How can one of the slickest cats have one of the worst hiding spots? Maybe I’ve watched
Lady in the Tramp too much but do better, little one! You have a reputation to uphold!
So close! He could have passed as the dog in the picture had he got in the other way! At least there’s some room.
This cat wasn’t having any of it that day. He looks ready to go before anything happened. I’m sure he knows his owner is poking fun of him with the photos. At least he gave his happy face!
30) “I am not ready for my close up.”
Now we’re talking! The next part would be putting your head down into the basket. But this is close enough!
So this isn’t obvious at all… But it is funny. Maybe he found something down there. It looks intense.
When you’re freaking out inside! The look definitely reads, “Why did you bring me here? I’m ready to go!”
This cat is really thinking about making a run for it.
Ah, sometimes we take our freedoms for granted.
34) You Can Put Baby in a Corner
Exhibit a, a (big) baby. Exhibit b, in a corner.
Boom!
This kitten has no quarrels with slapping the cameras out of his face. Maybe he thought it was a toy. It’s a good distraction method though.
How can you say no to that face? One thing that’s a mystery is whether this cat is calm or quietly freaked out. Either way, how cute!
These owners thought it was a good idea to bring their newly adopted cat into the vet via cardboard box. It’s safe to say that she wasn’t happy with the transfer or the experience!
Acrobatic cat is going to find a way out one way or another! I’d hate to be the one to open that crate. Yikes!
Yeah, he’s not coming down anytime soon. What does one do in a situation like this?
“But if you won’t tell, I won’t! Besides, I can take my own temperture. Thanks.”
Those eyes sure do tell a story. Hers seem to be saying, “Get me the heck out of here… please.”
“I’ll just slide in under here.” That’s right, nobody will find you.
“I’m a giant folder. Leave me be!”
So size doesn’t matter much… This 20lb cat somehow got onto the counter and into the sink. Persevere!
45) Cool, Calm, and Collected
“It’s a magic hat! They’ll never find me!” *insert evil meows here*
Wow! Almost there. Now, if the jacket would just fall already!
He looks both uncomfortable and scared! But one thing is certain, he won’t be moving anytime soon!
Guess how many cotton balls are in this jar? One giant cotton ball. Just one.
Not sure if the cat is mad about the vet or the sweater! Probably both. I know I would be.
This cat is dedicated! There’s a very likely chance that she got away with this!
The king of the throne watching the peasants try and get him to come down.
What a life.
52) Somethings in the Water…
This cat looks like water! I wouldn’t suggest turning that handle either. Things could get ugly.
53) “Think I’ll stay in here.”
It looks like he much rather stay inside his safe place. Poor guy looks terrified.
This can go left very quickly… I’d advise approaching with caution. Maybe pretend you never saw her and that all is well.
If she hides behind this sign long enough, they might forget that she’s even there! One can dream.
56) Take Me Home Tonight!
When you act out at the vet and have to be restrained… is it worth it, Felix?
“Every. Second.”
I can hear him whining now! I think I see tears and I feel bad for the poor cat. I hope he was in and out and realizes that the vets are there to help!
Whoa! Very intuitive. Right next to the phone and ready to dial out?! Quite impressive.
If you’re a vet, you better get used to this face. Just another day at the office for these two. I don’t think the pets ever get used to it though!
So close! But if you could just go all the way through, a huge difference would be made!
