If you are a dog owner, chances are you have walked in on your dog doing something strange at some point. And if you haven’t, there is a good chance you will soon.
That is partially what makes dogs so cute — their curiosity. They look at the world with a different lens and sometimes it makes them a little bit naive, but you can’t help but love them.
Usually, you walk in on a dog in a messy situation, where they probably just ate up the sides of your couch or a whole block of cheese. But this man walked in on something that was a little more out of the ordinary.
He caught his dog “red-handed,” if you will.
When this dog owner walked in on his pup, he had a mini heart attack because at first glance, it looked like Gody (his corgi) was lying over on his back motionless, drenched in a pool of bright red blood.
No dog owner ever wants to see that, no thanks!
Naturally, his owner freaked out and immediately jumped to help his dog. He was ready to have to try and save his poor pooch’s life.
But don’t worry, this is not a sad story.
After glancing at the red substance, his owner rushed over and found that it actually was not blood. It was sticky, sugary, and sweet. It was actually the juice from a dragon fruit. Gody was trying to lay all over it.
After realizing that the “blood” was actually just fruit juice, Gody’s owner calmed down and had a laugh. He proceeded to take photos of a “very gory” Gody and share them to social media so his followers could share the laugh as well. They clearly loved it (once they saw the dog was okay, of course) and the post got a ton of attention and laughs.
Gody was shared on a Facebook page called Candy the Corgi Official, which was named after Gody’s mother. The goal of the page is to bring joy to people’s lives and smiles to their faces. We would say they are definitely succeeding with adorable and hilarious posts like this one!
“Because he’s a baby, like other baby dogs, he likes to get himself dirty and sleep a lot. He also loves to eat fruit,” Gody’s owner explained to Bored Panda.
At the time of the “incident,” Gody was merely 2 months old.
Because Gody is still so young, he is still training and learning how to behave properly. His owner is well aware that there will be more accidents in the future, but they are currently working to minimize that as best they can’t.
You can’t blame a young puppy for getting in trouble and getting a little messy! We are just thrilled to see that he is all safe and sound. He might just need a bath, which isn’t so bad anyway.
