Sure, you could cook spaghetti and meatballs the old-fashioned way for your family. But why not try kicking the dish up a notch with this unique “Cheese-Baked Spaghetti Wrapped In Meatballs” recipe from Scrumdiddlyumptious!

It puts a fun new twist on the meal you’ve been eating since practically birth. Get ready to make mouths water and for guests to ask, “How’d you do that?”

Below are the ingredients you’ll need to get started:

  • Ground beef (1-pound)
  • Thyme (1-tbsp)
  • Rosemary (1-tbsp)
  • Chili Powder (1-tbsp)
  • Oregano (2-tbsp)
  • Paprika (2-tbsp)
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • Uncooked Spaghetti Noodles (10-oz)
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic ( minced)
  • 1 Onion (diced)
  • 1 Yellow Pepper (chopped)
  • 1 Green Pepper (chopped)
  • Red Wine (10-fl oz)
  • Tomato Sauce (20-oz)
  • Olive Oil (2-tbsp)
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (8-oz)

Ready to get cooking? Here’s what to do.

Step 1:

Set your oven to 350 degrees to preheat. Then, place your ground beef in a bowl and add in the spices (thyme, rosemary, chili powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper). Mix until evenly combined.

Step 2:

Separate your uncooked spaghetti noodles into four even portions. Do the same with the ground beef. Next, wrap the meat around the center of the noodles, forming it with your hands (the ends of the noodles should be sticking out).

*Do this process four times, using one portion of ground beef and one portion of noodles each time.

Step 3:

Add your oil to a large metal casserole dish that can be used both on the stovetop, as well as in the oven. Once the oil is heated, set your spaghetti portions in the dish and begin cooking the meat.

*Be sure to flip when necessary.

Step 4:

Now you’re going to add the garlic, onion, and peppers to the dish – and lightly sautee. Then evenly pour the red wine on top, and cover everything with your tomato sauce. Lastly, sprinkle on the shredded cheese.

Step 5:

Place your dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. All you have to do now is just get excited to serve your spaghetti and meatballs in a clever way!
