They say that every baby is a blessing and if that’s the case, then Britain’s Radford family are the most blessed people on the planet!

Originally appearing on the UK show 15 Kids And Counting in 2012, the Radfords were already one of the largest families on the continent but that didn’t stop mama Radford, Sue, from continuing to get pregnant and grow their not-so-little family even more. In 2013, the family announced that they would be giving birth to their 17th child!

There was something very special about this particular pregnancy, though; she wouldn’t be pregnant alone. In addition to their announcement of a 17th pregnancy Sue’s oldest daughter Sophie had an announcement of her own…

Not only was Sue pregnant, but Sophie was pregnant, too! In fact, the two newest additions to the Radford clan were expected to be born within days of each other! This isn’t the first time around that Sue has gotten to experience the joys of sharing pregnancy with her daughter, either.

While 39-year-old Sue is gearing up for baby number 17, Sophie was getting ready to have her second baby. Just two years before, in 2011, the pregnant mother-daughter-duo gave birth within one month of each other to babies Casper and Daisy.

This double-decker pregnancy couldn’t have happened at a better time, as Sue was still recovering from the miscarriage of her last pregnancy less than a year before. One Saturday morning Sue could tell something had gone sideways with her pregnancy when she couldn’t feel her baby moving. The news that she had lost the baby dealt the enormous family a devastating blow.

Yet, Sue and her husband, Noel Radford, have been together since Sue was just 13-years-old and had been married for over 20 years already at that point. Even though the Radford’s had only ever dreamt of having three kids, life had shown them that they wanted many, many more.

They weren’t going to let their heartbreak get in the way of continuing to grow their family.

If you’re wondering how the father of Britain’s biggest family felt about having yet another infant added to their already massive household, you might be surprised at the answer.

“After last time, with losing the one back in September… you know, I did think then of Casper as being our last but, she’s pregnant again. Which is great,” Noel exclaims in the video below with an enormous smile on his face. “So yeah, it’s not our last one, thankfully, and you never know…this might not be our last one either,” he continues.

There is an enormous difference between simply wanting to have a colossal sized family and actually being able to support them in a world that is becoming increasingly expensive to live in, however.

While many huge families on reality shows have come under fire for having so many children, assuming they will be supported through state and welfare funding, that can never be said of the Radford clan.

If you’re wondering how Sue and Noel have managed to feed, clothe, and shelter all of their kids (to say nothing of the myriad other costs of raising children), you should know that they do it through a lot of hard work.

In addition to pioneering being one of the largest families in the world in today’s day and age, the Radford’s also possess an incredibly entrepreneurial spirit, and it seems they’re passing it on to their kids.

Noel and Sue own and operate the very successful bakery in Lancashire called The Radford’s Pie Company, alternatively known as Faraday’s. Thankfully for the couple, they have all the help they could ever ask for in their older children, and it seems that they always will!

Fast forward from this video to now and the Radfords’ are still in the lead for the UK’s biggest family at an unbelievable 21 children! Not only that, but they are now grandparents to four healthy, happy grandkids.

There is no lack of love to go around in this family! To learn more about how this insanely large family copes with everyday life, watch the video below.
