Any birthday celebration is a huge deal for a teenage girl, but her bat mitzvah is definitely one of the most important. This is one of the biggest and most elaborate celebrations the girl will experience, and every last one of her family and friends will be there. Many families put a lot of work into planning a bat mitzvah, and this one was no exception.
This father and daughter thought of everything, from the elegant pink and white decorations to the gorgeous floral arrangements. But their most creative idea by far was the father-daughter dance. These two put their heads together and came up with something amazing.
Jonathan is a doctor, and he went all out for his daughter Danielle’s 13th birthday. He rented a huge room, decorated it just the way his daughter wanted and had a guest list a mile long. The most special thing he did for her, however, was plan a daddy-daughter dance with wild choreography.
The music was slow at first, and the two swayed together gently. Danielle was decked out in all pink, with ruffles and shimmers adorning her dress. Even her shoes were two different shades of pink.
The song was “Daddy’s Little Girl” by Al Martino; it had a classical ring to it. Danielle and her dad moved slowly together, and all eyes were on them. Suddenly, everything changed.
After about a minute it was time for a remix. “Tik Tok” by Kesha came on, and the duo kicked it up a notch. Some family members laughed aloud as they watched this normally up-tight man groove around with his sassy daughter.
The two jumped, stomped, and shimmied, all to the continual cheers coming from the audience. First came one hit song, then another, with dad and daughter dancing daringly the entire time. This routine probably took a lot of practice, but Jonathan and Danielle were killing it.
It must have taken tons of courage to perform a routine like this in front of everyone, but Jonathan was willing to put aside his embarrassment and show support for his daughter. He deserves a dad of the year award.
