If you’ve got a good voice and you’re not afraid to show it, you’ve probably been waiting for your big break for longer than you can remember.

Some people get luckier than others, but most have to wait several decades to hit fame – if at all.

Michael Bublé knows this all too well. He was 28 years old when he made it to the international music scene, winning Best New Talent at Canada’s prestigious Juno Awards.

He still knows what it’s like to have a dream of stardom that’s just out of grasp.

Having reportedly slept with a Bible when he was a teenager, praying that one day he’d make it big, Bublé got his love of singing from his grandfather’s jazz record collection.

His grandfather paid for his singing lessons as a child, and eventually, aged 16, Bublé began singing on the nightclub stage.

It probably looks a lot different to the stages he’s used to gracing today, but he never forgets his roots.

In this video, during a sold-out performance in Hartford, Connecticut, he climbed off stage and handed a mic over to a lucky audience member.

The woman had been holding a sign that read, “Let Me Sing With You Mr. Bublé!” She probably never expected him to read the sign, let alone invite her onstage!

But Bublé must have been keen to see if the woman was a good singer, as that’s exactly what he did.

The woman was called Chelsea Hebert, and, though she was visibly nervous when Bublé came to collect her, she was determined to prove herself to the crowd.

She, too, had always dreamt of being a singer, and had specifically had a dream of singing on stage with Bublé himself. She recalled:

“I would tell my best friend Olivia all the time that I was going to sing on stage with (Michael Bublé). It’s always been such a dream of mine.”

Chelsea had prepared for the moment, just in case, and planned to sing Nina Simone’s hit song, “Feeling Good.”

It was a song that Bublé knew well, having covered it on his second studio album “It’s Time.” So when Chelsea requested to sing that one, Bublé obliged her.

She must have known that it was now or never as Bublé gave his band the go-ahead and gave her the mic. It’s a lot of pressure to be under, especially for someone who has never performed to an audience of this size before.

But Chelsea knew how rare and special this moment was, and she was going to give it her all.

When she took the mic, the audience probably didn’t know what to expect. But Chelsea ripped through the first few lyrics, leaving a stunned Bublé to sit down and let Chelsea perform alone.

It was clearly such a surprise to everyone that even the security guard struggled not to turn to see who was singing.

But you don’t need to see Chelsea to hear how beautiful her voice sounds.

According to Chelsea, after being pulled out of the audience, the rest of the night was a blur. We’re not surprised!

The video has been viewed over two million times, and Bublé fans can’t get enough of Chelsea’s voice.

If you’re keen to learn more about her, you can check out Chelsea Herbert’s YouTube channel and watch videos of her covering hit songs.

Chelsea certainly got her lucky wish this night, and maybe one day she’ll be headlining her own shows with Bublé as a guest star.
