If you’ve noticed a recent uptick in the number of people leaving their traditional homes behind for a tiny house, you’re not alone. Although this trend has been popular for many years now, it’s becoming an even more viable option. This is one couple’s story.
A lot of people are tired of big city living. Instead, they want to enjoy a simpler and more affordable way of life. So, they’re gravitating to something that for them, makes a lot more sense…a tiny house.
A well-constructed and organized tiny house offers all the comforts of a traditional home. And here’s the cool part. You don’t have to settle on just a couple of designs. As one couple discovered, although a smaller version, they could live in a farmhouse.
This couple loves that their farmhouse-style tiny house is on wheels. That means if they get tired of living in one place, they can pack up and move to another. Or, they can pull their home for road trips.
While many people live in a tiny house full-time, for Joel and Emma, it serves as a temporary residence while they build a larger house nearby. But considering that’ll take some time to complete, it was important for them to give their kids a comfortable and safe place to call home.
This couple could’ve gone with any design but the farmhouse caught their eye. When finished, it was more than they dreamed of. Living in a tiny house also taught the entire family some valuable lessons. They became more organized, patient, and accommodating.
Since Joel, Emma, and their two children will live in the tiny house for quite a while, the overall design was important. With some tweaking here and there, they ended up with a gorgeous home but without compromising on efficiency and functionality.
The little things
Small touches are what make a house a home. This farmhouse-style tiny house boasts window planter boxes, an awning over the front door, and even adorable shutters. For added convenience, they added a picnic table for outdoor dining.
An unbelievable set-up
The couple enclosed their tiny home inside a fence. They added playground equipment, a trampoline, and a sandbox. With everything combined, they might find it hard to leave this home.
Right at home
Joel and Emma went to great lengths to make this farmhouse-style tiny house look and feel as though it was normal size. The living space is quite impressive. Upstairs, the girls have ample room to sleep and play.
The interior is even better
The inside is just as impressive as the outside. The layout makes this home feel open. It has a full kitchen, dining area, bedrooms, and bathroom…everything you’d find in a traditional home.
A place for everything
Using vertical space gives them plenty of storage. The children have books on wall shelves and under the stairs leading to their bedroom are smart cubbies. This farmhouse-style tiny house is beyond incredible.
