The price some people pay for clothing is pretty alarming.

Ripped jeans have been in style for a while, and it seems like the more destroyed the denim, the higher the price. So how far is too far? A clothing company in Los Angeles might have crossed the line. It recently released a new pair of jeans called Extreme Cutout Jeans. They aren’t lying when they say extreme.

These jeans are basically just the hemline of jeans.

There is hardly any fabric there at all. The entire front and back are missing, and the entire pockets hanging free and clear in the front of the pants. It makes you wonder what you are paying for.

As crazy as this design is, people are actually buying them. The company that makes them is pretty proud of them. It has started selling the jeans online and in stores. When the company posted a photo of a model wearing the barely there jeans, Instagram almost blew up. It posted the photo with a caption that says:

“The Extreme Cutout Pant, for those who dare to bare.”

Everyone had something to say about them.

Some of the comment included:

“The pants are stupid and scream ‘I have low self-esteem and I need attention.’ But the shoes are awesome.”

“I very much doubt it, it raised very, very old fashion, and with respect for myself and others, and job or no job I’d never let someone put me in that garbage, I’d get a better job instead. And God doesn’t like it neither. God bless.”

“Try throwing these in the washer. Better yet, take them to the dry cleaner to get some weird looks and chuckles.”

Everyone has something to say about these jeans, but people are still buying and wearing them.

It used to be cool to destroy your own jeans, but stores have been selling them for years. They started with small rips on the knees or thighs, and those rips got bigger and bigger. Now, things have clearly gotten out of control.

The company that makes the jeans, Carmar, will likely sell them as long as people are buying them. Who wouldn’t take advantage of these customers? According to the website, it likes to stay on top of current trends and designs. The About Us section says;

“CARMAR stands for its youthful styling, unparalleled assortments, and cutting-edge appeal. The offerings of this California inspired collection range from colors and treatments, vintage laid-back washes, and new styles. The core collection comprised of denim and jeggings has evolved through its groundbreaking discovery of rayon and Tencel denim. These fabrications entice the carefree attitude of the CARMAR girl who always looks for style and comfort. The CARMAR brand takes denim to the next level.”

These jeans aren’t the first crazy fashion statement to cause a stir online.

Last year, everyone was losing their minds over the male romper. Even celebrities were wearing them. It’s like that these jeans will go through the same thing. Everyone will talk about them, celebrities will wear them, normal people will start to wear them, and then something even more strange and shocking will come out.

The fashion world is always changing, and it’s sometimes hard to keep up.

Let’s just be glad that most of us don’t have to worry about wearing these jeans. There are just some trends you don’t want to be on top of. Just let it pass and wait for the next big thing to come around. Maybe it will be something a little more realistic and less expensive.

If the company is going to sell these jeans with such little fabric, the least it can do is bring down the price.

How much money could it possibly have invested in the production? If you don’t have the cash but still have to have these stylish jeans, try making them yourself out of an old pair you already have at home.
