Some of these items are small and commonplace.

So small, you might miss them. Items like golf balls don’t cost much on their own, but since 100,000,000 per year go missing, they can amass a a lot of money. If you go golf ball hunting around the golf course, you will be able to easily find many all at once, and then resell them to all the golfers looking for new balls! Some people who do this earn up to $50,000 a year.

Like rare items that are important to specific cultures. In China and Japan, stones that are carved to look like pieces of meat are highly prized. First editions are the very first batch of a book that was ever printed, and many of your favorite books can earn hundreds of thousands of dollars at an auction. The highest-earning first editions are The Hobbit, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, and The Great Gatsby.

The rarest items can make some serious cash.

In the reselling game, rarity is a huge advantage. While many items you find can earn you a couple of extra bucks, the most money will come from items that are not made anymore or came out as limited editions.
