These 20 celebs have all denied having plastic surgery. What do you think?
People can do what they like, but should celebs be truthful about whether their beauty is natural or not?

What a person does with their face and body is entirely up to them. But in an age of seemingly unattainable perfection, we can’t help but wonder who got a little help along the way.

These 20 celebrities have all been called out by media or fans for looking awfully different. And while many of them say that’s just how they aged or it’s all in the power of makeup, we still wonder how they look that darn good!

1. Jennifer Lopez

It’s hard to believe JLo is 51 (especially after her 2020 Superbowl performance!). Surely she must have had a touch-up here or there, right?

The star says no.

While she was promoting her new beauty line on Instagram in January 2021, a “fan” commented that she had “definitely” had Botox.

“LOL that’s just my face!!!” Lopez wrote. “For the 500 millionth time… I have never done Botox or any other injectables or surgery!! Just sayin’.”

2. Kim Kardashian

While mom Kris Jenner has been open about going under the knife, daughter Kim has denied having anything but fillers and Botox.

But fans aren’t buying it and they’ve insisted she’s had everything from butt implants to rib removal!

While the possibility of a nose job seems likely after viewing some photos, she’s denied that as well. She credits her look to the power of makeup and contouring.

3. Bella Hadid

Since the moment she began modeling, people have been accusing Bella Hadid of drastically altering her face via surgery. And she really does look different.

In an interview with InStyle she said:

“People think I got all this surgery or did this or that. And you know what? We can do a scan of my face, darling. I’m scared of putting fillers into my lips. I wouldn’t want to mess up my face.”

4. Gigi Hadid

Just like her sister Bella, Gigi Hadid has been accused of having plastic surgery and trying to hide it. But she credits her changing look to the power of a good makeup artist.

In a recent YouTube video for Vogue she said:

“Like, I’ve never done anything to my face. But the way that I’ve learned to contour in certain places, put bronzer in some places, and leave out in other places. It’s something you have to learn.”

She’s even denied having any fillers.

5. Uma Thurman

It was 2015 when Uma Thurman showed up to the premiere of the film The Slap with what seemed like a whole new face.

But even plastic surgeons came to her defense, noting that she’s been acting for over 30 years and her face is bound to change. She, on the other hand, said it’s just the power of makeup.

“I know I look weird,” she told Savannah Guthrie on The TODAY Show that same year. “I don’t know, I guess nobody liked my makeup.”

6. Olivia Munn

In 2018, the Internet was convinced that Olivia Munn had gotten some major work done, especially on her lips. It was an accusation she had faced before.

But she said she’s never gone under the knife.

In an Instagram story, she shared a selfie video in which she took off her makeup, showing fans that it was the very same face she’s always had underneath the cosmetic magic.

“Bye-bye luscious lips!” she captioned the clip as she wiped off her lip liner.

7. Hailey Beiber

Plastic surgeons who want to get their names in the news will often critique celebrities and imply that they’ve had surgery.

But let’s remember she’s in her 20s and a lot of the photos we’re comparing are of her as a teen. Everyone’s face changes!

After getting fed up with an Instagram troll, Beiber replied:

“Stop using pics that are edited by makeup artists! This photo on the right is NOT what I look like… I’ve never touched my face, so if you’re gonna sit around and compare me at 13 and then me at 23, at least use a natural photo that wasn’t edited so crazy.”

8. Renee Zellweger

It’s hard to believe that Renee Zellweger didn’t have some work done. Her face looks drastically different to us in a way that seems to be more than makeup.

But she denied the rumors and, according to Marie Claire, called them “painful.”

After overhearing some subway passengers talking about how she looked like an entirely different person, she set them straight without a word:

“So I get up and I stand next to the door waiting for it to open and the man is still talking about how stupid I am. And he looked up and he said, ‘Oh God, you’re not—you are! Oh my God, but you look just like yourself!’ And I said, ‘Yeah, it’s funny how that works, isn’t it?'”

9. Mariah Carey

We think Mariah Carey just looks like she’s aging well, but in 2019, her assistant accused her of charging tens of thousands of dollars of “enhancements” to her credit card in order to hide the proof.

Frankly, we’re not buying it. Who is looking at her credit card statements anyway?!

10. Ashley Judd

When Judd appeared in an election campaign video for Elizabeth Warren, people criticized more than just her politics. They insisted she had cheek implants and all sorts of other enhancements.

In reality, she gets Botox for her migraines.

As for her cheeks, that was due to weight gain after her doctor told her to lay off the exercise for a while to help soothe those headaches.

11. Emily Ratajkowski

The pregnant model shot back at fans insisting she had lip injections in an Instagram story in early 2021, saying:

“For anyone saying ‘you need to stop w/ the lip injections’: I’ve never had lip injections (no judging folks who do—ya’ll look great!) but you can’t even get injections when you’re pregnant!”

12. Ariana Grande

From nose jobs to boob jobs (and even cheek shaving!), the 20-something has had to deny a lot of speculation.

She’s shot back by telling people to stop comparing photos of her when she was 14 to those taken when she was in her 20s.

“Goddamn, puberty went nice,” she joked. “It came late, but she finally came through for me.”

13. Gillian Anderson

When the stories just wouldn’t stop coming

The X-Files actress took to Facebook to fend off The Daily Mail‘s claims that she has had plastic surgery and Botox on her forehead, eyes, neck, cheeks, nose, lips, and chin.

“If it weren’t so sad, this bollocks would have made my day,” she wrote. This is how I really look! #agingwithoutshame.”

14. Blake Lively

We like the actress’s approach to people claiming she’s had work done.

When asked whether she’s had surgery, she once responded:

“It’s the way you address any rumor. People want to talk. They want to create negative things about you and your lift. You can’t let them affect you.”

During an interview with GQ in 2016, the then-FLOTUS acknowledged that a lot of people think she has had procedures done on her face.

“I’m against Botox. I’m against injections. I think it’s damaging your face, damaging your nerves. It’s all me. I will age gracefully, as my mom does,” she said.

She’s had a hard time getting people to believe her.

16. Jennifer Aniston

While she did have a nose job as a young woman to fix a deviated septum, she’s denied having anything done since then.

In 2014, she told Yahoo! Beauty:

“I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting s–t into my face.”

She’s basically had to deny rumors every year since then.

17. Mandy Moore

We think she looks pretty much the same as always, but not everyone agrees.

In an interview with PopSugar, Moore was miffed:

“People think everyone in Hollywood has had a nose job or some work done, but it’s not always true. People are going to believe what they want, and that’s fine,” she said.

18. Lady Gaga

According to the singer, she was “born this way.” In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said:

“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

19. Chrissy Teigen

Well, Chrissy Teigen has learned never to joke about plastic surgery again. While she’s admitted to having breast augmentation (and getting them removed), she sparked dozens of stories in 2017 when she said in jest “Everything about me is fake except my cheeks” at an event for Becca Cosmetics.

After that, she tweeted that while she did have her armpit fat sucked out, she was just kidding about the rest:

“Reminder to never ever joke, ever (I did do the armpits, no regrets except it clearly came back). You think I’d have this ass if I’d done extensive work? Like, who would ask for this ass.”

20. Kendall Jenner

There’s no denying that the supermodel looks a little different than she used to. But yet again, it’s something she credits to a good makeup artist – in this case, her sister.

“All of a sudden, photos of us came out with headlines like, ‘OMG Kendall got her lips done and got full facial reconstruction — look at her cheekbones, look at her nose!’ I was like, this is CRAZY. I didn’t even address it at the time. Because if I address it, people are going to be like ‘Oh, so she’s defending herself — she must be guilty,’” Jenner wrote on her website. “As a model, why would I have my face reconstructed? It doesn’t even make sense.”
