We all love our pets. They are precious to us, and we couldn’t live without them! But when pets are dressed up in clothes, it takes their “adorable level” off the charts.

One bunny made waves last year when some pretty awesome photos went viral. PuiPui the Bunny is a Tokyo-based Holland Lop, and her owner, named Mumitan, makes PuiPui some amazing human-inspired outfits.

“Sometimes he is a detective, sometimes he is a photographer, and sometimes he is a chef, and other times he is the soccer player representing Japan. However, his true identity is … Holland lop bunny,” according to PuiPui the Bunny’s website page.

Mumitan is PuiPui’s human owner, as well as his stylist and photographer. She dresses him up in her own clothing styles that are handmade just for PuiPui. She even handmade his crowns.

“I always choose a soft, light, elastic, and comfortable fabric, which will allow PuiPui to move freely. These clothes are made to fit PuiPui perfectly, so he stays relaxed,” Mumitan said.

Mumitan is sometimes asked if it’s OK and safe for PuiPui to wear clothes. Luckily, PuiPui is a very easygoing and calm bunny. But, Mumitan does keep the amount of time PuiPui has the clothes on to a minimum.

“I take such good care of PuiPui and prioritize his comfort and safety,” she said.

She also makes it clear that while PuiPui is adorable in the outfits, it’s not natural for rabbits to wear clothes. And, in fact, many rabbits don’t like wearing them. So, she advises anyone thinking about dressing their own rabbit in clothing to think about the specific bunny’s personality before making a decision.

“Rabbits tend to be a lot more sensitive than most dogs. Before you dress your rabbit up, step back and think about his/her personality. I believe that rabbits’ mental and physical health should always come as a top priority.”
