If there’s one thing we can be sure about, it’s that little kids’ absolutely love puppies. That’s why when this young boy’s neighbor got an adorable golden retriever puppy, he couldn’t help but ask if he could be a dog sitter for the tiny dog. It’s the way he asked for the opportunity to become new friends with the puppy that warmed hearts all over social media. The adorable letter he wrote to his neighbors quickly went viral, prompting an Instagram account for the puppy to blow up and gain thousands of followers.
It doesn’t get any cuter than this!
Troy is a 10-year-old boy, who recently viral for writing a letter to his neighbors asking them to babysit their new puppy
The 4th grader from Chicago, Illinois, was delighted when his neighbors came home with a new golden retriever puppy. He decided to write them a letter, asking if he could help them out with dog sitting. In the letter he wrote:
“Hello neighbor, My Name is Troy I’m in 4th grade and I’m just wondering if maybe after this virus you need a dog sitter and if so I can take your dog on walks and more.”
The neighbors had already made an Instagram for their puppy named Arthur, so they decided to post the precious letter
After posting Troy’s letter to Instagram, social media went crazy for the kid’s cute and clever way to ask if he could dog sit for little Arthur. Even better, his neighbors immediately scheduled a play date for Arthur and Troy.
“Guess who’s meeting troy today!!!!” Said one Instagram caption.
Troy and Arthur had the playdate and became fast friends. We’ve got a feeling the young boy will be his neighbor’s designated dog sitter
After Troy’s letter and play date with his new friend, his neighbors posted an update talking as Arthur for the rapidly growing fan base of their lovable puppy.
“Just a quick pupdate – me and the smol neighbor had a really great (socially distant) play date today. Because he’s so smol we didn’t take any pics just for privacy purposes but he told me all about his dog fren and even showed me some dance moves!! I have a feeling we’re gonna be best buds!!”
Thanks to Troy’s letter and Arthur’s endearing face, the puppies Instagram quickly grew to over 30k followers
Arthur’s owners made another post talking as the puppy, thanking the 35.7k thousand people that thought he was adorable enough for a follow.
“Holy h*ck, y’all. Welcome to all my new frens!!!! To everybody new here, my name is Arthur and I’m the cutest floof on the block. My hoomans told me that me and my fren Troy broke the pupernet yesterday. I’m glad it brought me so many new frens!!”
Arthur is so darn cute, we’re sure he’ll just get more and more followers and some more playdates with Troy
We’re glad to see Troy’s letter helped gain Arthur so many new friends, but more importantly, got him some play dates with the puppy he was eager to meet.
This is such a heartwarming story, with so much negativity out there right now, we must make some room for the uplifting stuff like Troy and Arthur’s newfound friendship.
