For some of us, we are taught the skills we take with us into our adult lives at a very young age. Sometimes even before we can even walk! Whether it’s another language or learning how to play a sport, ride a bike, learn to ski or snowboard, or even riding horses these skills if practiced enough can turn into lifelong pastimes. Hobbies or pastimes that with every practice we can learn to be a master of the skill. And sometimes we are taught a skill that we pick up so quickly it’s almost like we’ve been practicing for years already. For one little five-year-old girl she demonstrates this as she showcases her skills on horseback going through a jumping course.

Time to let it all go on the course.

Five-year-old Kinsley and her seven-year-old morgan draft cross mare Ruby impress every spectator as they take their turn through the 2’6′ jumping course to the song “Let It Go” from the soundtrack to the movie Frozen.

Shocking at first to see such a small child on a big horse…

At first, when you start watching the video it is a little nerve-wracking to see this tiny child on such a big horse. But as the video continues you see how much the child and the horse are connected and moving through the course with ease. The worries slowly fade away and the child and this horse continue to show off their skills as they go over every jump perfectly. A Youtube user, SinisterSam, shared her thoughts and concerns when she first started watching the video to how she felt as she continued to watch,

“At first seeing the caption for this video, my mom warning bells rang off and I was all worried someone out there was being irresponsible for internet attention.. but after watching the video… this little girl has a SOLID jump seat for her age, and that horse is a DOLL!!! So sweet and careful and just happily jumping whatever he’s pointed at :) So cute! Had a huge smile on my face by the end of the video!”
Especially being a parent and seeing a young child doing something not many adults can do is a little worrisome at first! But Kinsley and Ruby prove with every jump and turn that there is nothing to worry about.

But Kinsley and Ruby demonstrate just how comfortable and safe they are together.

Another Youtube user, varrylarry, who has been riding horses since they were 12 years old slowed down the video and points out just how comfortable Kinsley is with her horse Ruby even at the young age of five writing,

“Slowing it down at 0:58 and watching closely, both rider and horse look comfortable and safe. Kinsley is in no way “yanking” on the bit. She relies on it for steering simply because her legs are not long enough to put much pressure on Ruby’s sides. I’m a rider, have been since I was about 12 years old. I jump this height now, at 17. I’ve loved horses since before I could speak (according to mom :P). Imagine where Kinsley could be in her teen years! Not every kid would willingly trust an animal this powerful which shows her devotion. I always wished I could’ve been learning to ride at that age.”

In the comment, they make sure to note that even though they have been riding since they were only 12 years old they have only come to attempting jumps at this height now five years later! Which just proves how special Kinsley is!
