Going to church isn’t always as plain and serious as it may seem. There are a lot of humorous moments and everyone loves to have a good time, no matter what religion!

This gospel quartet took to their church for a special little number during the holiday season back in 2012, and the clip is still being revisited over and over again because of how hilarious it is.

The holidays are an especially wonderful time to spread cheer and have fun, and these four boys certainly helped spread joy.

When the four boys began to sing their Christmas caroles — complete with perfect pitch and impressive four-part harmonies — the audience began to laugh pretty much immediately. That is because these boys were young, and their voices — which were very deep — did not necessarily match their age.

No one in the crowd saw the little trick these boys had coming, yet they were all pleasantly surprised. You can tell by the amount of laughter and smiles all around.

At first it seems simply like an impressive performance, especially from the three boys on the left who start off the performance.

But then when the child in the sweater vest all the way on the right begins to sing, the crowd can’t contain their laughter.

Why, you ask? Because the fourth little boy’s voice was so extremely deep, it was comical!

It was clear that this was no ordinary quartet. Instead, they were lip-syncing “Christmas Carol of Love” — but just because they were lip-syncing doesn’t mean they didn’t put in any effort.

In fact, it probably took days to get this routine down, as there are four different parts and each boy was assigned to one. It undoubtedly took a ton of effort to memorize each line because they nailed every single line.

The boys’ lip-syncing skills were so good and so on-point, you will probably have a moment and ask yourself, “wait, are they actually lip-syncing or is this real?”

The boys were young, but the voices being matched to them were far beyond their age.

The crowd laughs the most when the boy in the vest begins to sing and that is because he’s dubbed with the lowest and deepest voice. It is so low, and he even tries to gesture how deep “his voice” his by bending over and physically facing his head towards the ground.

At one point in the lovely performance, the boy pretends to forget to sing really low and lets his “young voice” come out. Then his three co-singers pretend to give him a nudge to wake him up and he snaps back into his deep voice. At this point, the crowd is absolutely losing it.

The crowd’s laughter can’t be contained throughout the entire performance!

The very deep, bass-y voice is actually the iconic quartet singer J.D. Sumner. We’re sure that if he saw this performance, he would be laughing just as much!

It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is — this is absolutely hilarious and sparks so much pure joy.
