If you love to cook, your kitchen is your oasis. However, if you don’t have a very large kitchen, or you have too large of a kitchen, you can find it hard to stay organized.

You can use any one of these hacks to totally transform your kitchen into a dream!

1. Pantry wall storage

Sometimes, our pantries just do not have enough space. You need to be able to fit spices, food, pots, pans, plates, bowls, and more in your cabinets. If you feel like your pantry is a mess, you can use the extra wall space between the cabinet door and each shelf.

You can purchase cheap shower caddies for this hack. See the full pantry makeover at Make Bake Celebrate.

2. Tension rod dividers

If you have a drawer that is deep, but not very wide, you might wonder, “what on earth can I put in here?” Rather than half hazardly stacking things on top of each other, you can use tension rods to create a more organized space.

See a perfect example of this at Montana Prairie Trails.

3. Fake pull-out drawers

Do you hate bending down and reaching all the way into the back of your cabinets? You can avoid this without having to build drawers or rolling tracks in your cabinets. Instead, you can easily fake it!

You can create pretend pull-out drawers by using plastic bins. You can check out the before and after for this DIY project over at Everyday Organization.

4. Tupperware lid storage rack

Tupperware is the hardest thing to organize. You can buy a brand new set of Tupperware and three days later, you’ll be missing half of the lids. If you’re tired of losing all of your Tupperware lids, you can try this hack to keep them all in one place.

You can either use a dish rack or a kitchen file folder holder to put all of the lids to your Tupperware.

5. Hanging shelf dividers

If there is a big gap of space between items on your shelves and the next shelf you can throw in one of these hanging shelves. They are super cheap on Amazon. You can get one for $10 or a 2-pack for less than $20.

6. Repurposed magazine rack

Do you have old folder holders or magazine racks? If you love labels and you love to put things in different little “cubbies” in your kitchen, this is the perfect hack. Use magazine holders for pantry storage!

7. Stacking shelves

If you don’t want hanging shelves, you can stack your shelving units inside of your cabinet. This way, you have space for your plates, bowls, and mugs all on one shelf, instead of having to stick all three items on different shelves. Like the hanging organizers, these are cheap and can be bought on Amazon!

8. Pocket organizers

You might have been eyeing up a pocket organizer, but then you found out they’re actually pretty expensive (as far as kitchen organizers go). Instead, you can follow Imperfect Homemaking’s guide to making your own for a fraction of the cost.

9. PVC wine rack

Do you have any PVC pipes laying around? If you check your garage, chances are the answer to that question is “yes.” Do you love wine? Again, another “yes!” Now, rather than just storing wine in a cabinet, you can put it on display in a cute little wine rack.

If you like to get creative, you can follow the tutorial for making your own wine rack at Bob Vila.

10. Mega drawer organizer

You know what the most annoying thing about drawer organizers? They are never actually the same size as the drawer! You always have extra space leftover and then that part of the drawer always gets junk tossed in it. Half the drawer looks great, while the other half is a huge mess.

You can follow this $10 tutorial for building your own drawer organizer at Ugly Duckling House.

11. Under sink rods

Do you like to store your cleaning supplies under the sink? If there are too many pipes down there, it might make it tough to put any shelves, baskets, or buckets under there. Instead, you can put in a tension rod under the sink and hang your cleaning supplies over the rod. It is a simple little fix!

12. Corkboard cupboards

Are you the kind of person who loves to keep recipes on hand? Maybe you aren’t big on recipes, but you enjoy leaving notes for your family members. This corkboard cabinet hack is perfect for you.

You can follow the tutorial at Young House Love for inspiration.

13. Chalkboard cupboards

If corkboard isn’t your thing, but you like the idea, you might want to try a chalkboard cabinet door. This is perfect for someone with good penmanship. You can use the chalkboard to leave notes for your loved ones or write out shopping lists for the family.

Follow this tutorial on how to create your own chalkboard cabinet.

14. Oil and vinegar shelf

If you love to cook, it is almost required to have your oil and vinegar in fancy containers and on display in your kitchen. If you love this, but don’t really have the counter space, you’re in luck.

You can follow this tutorial to create your own oil and vinegar shelf to go right over the stove/oven in your kitchen.

15. Use magnets to store spices

Your mom’s storage rack is a thing of the past! If you hate rooting around in your pantry, trying to find the right spice, fear no more. You can create a sleek magnetic spice rack on the door of your cabinet/pantry that not only looks good it’ll also save on space!

Follow the tutorial for this magnetic spice rack at The House on Stanford.

16. Create a bonus pantry

Do you not even have a pantry space? If your kitchen is pretty much nonexistent, you need to find creative ways to add storage space. You can add your own pantry by taking advantage of that small space between your fridge and the wall. It isn’t big enough to put regular shelves in, but you can try to follow this tutorial for a bonus pantry.

17. Put everything in the fridge in baskets

Do you hate trying to find something in your fridge and there is just too much blocking the way? Everything in the fridge should have a specific place and you can organize the fridge by using baskets to do so. The best way to keep track of everything is labeling each basket!

18. Get command hooks

If you have nice pots and pans, you’re not going to want to hide them in cabinets. That takes up so much unnecessary space when you can instead put them on display. You can use strong-hold command hooks to hang your pots and pans.

19. Use turntables/lazy susans in the fridge

Are you tired of reaching all the way in the back of your fridge for something? If you shove something in your fridge, it is easy to forget about it if it migrates to the back of the fridge over time. That is how you wind up with smelly old food that you can’t even remember buying in the first place!

Rather than letting your food expire, you can use a lazy susan for convenient storage. Not only does it help you rotate what you’re eating in your fridge, it helps you look a lot more organized and it is hardly any work at all.

20. DIY Fridge mats

Do you hate the plastic shelves in your fridge? They can get dirty so easily or discolored over time. If you like to add a little flair to your fridge, you can create these DIY fridge mats. Not only are these cute, but they also are easy to clean, so you can place certain food items (like apples, lemons, pears, etc.) right on top of them.
