Fans of popular series Britain’s Got Talent will definitely remember this amazing performance when in one of the most beautiful moments in TV history 14-year-old singer Jasmine Elcock stunned the world and judges alike with her beautiful rendition of Cher’s “Believe”.

If you’ve never seen it before, it is something that you simply just have to watch.

As the audience gave a standing ovation, hosts Ant and Dec ran to the judge’s table and slammed the Golden Buzzer, meaning she would advance straight to the semi-finals.

Golden Buzzer picks get to skip all the other rounds where the judges slowly whittle down their choices to the 40 or so other acts that get to perform in the live shows.

If you’re unsure of how it all works, basically the judges each have a red buzzer to vote off acts they are not happy with, while in the center is a golden buzzer that each judge, as well as the hosts Ant and Dec, get to hit only once per season. Understandably, the Golden Buzzer picks are reserved only for the most impressive performers who appear on the show.

That is why it was such a big deal for Jasmine. It showed just how moved everyone was by the way she sang, that is if it wasn’t already obvious enough from the emotion showed by everyone.

Both judge Alesha Dixon and Ant had tears running down their cheeks.

“For so many reasons that audition moved me so much. I’ve never been this much of a mess on the show, literally…. I hope all your dreams come true. You deserve it,” said Dixon.

Ant felt much the same way.

“That was brilliant. I was in tears back there. Fantastic,” Ant told her.

Even Simon Cowell, judge and executive producer of the show who is well known for being one of the toughest critics out there, had nothing but positive things to say:

“I was at one point losing the will to live, thinking maybe all the talent has gone, and now you come back, little thing, with such a great voice, so charming…let me tell you, I think this country is going to totally fall in love with you,” Cowell remarked.

It was pretty obvious this wasn’t her first time ever performing for an audience. Elcock, hailing from Essex, England, had already accumulated some impressive experience for her age before the appearance on the British talent show. In the interview they do with contestants before they go on stage, Jasmine said she had previously performed in Broadway musical Annie on the West End at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre where she starred as ‘Annie’. Her age at the time — 10 years old! In addition, she even has her own website and an online agency profile.

The judges weren’t the only people impressed by Elcock’s performance either. At the time, Twitter was literally blowing up with comments.

Another user had this to say:

In the finals, she performed ‘True Colours’ by Cyndi Lauper, but unfortunately for Elcock, it was not enough to win the public vote. While Elcock did not end up winning the show, she did finish in a very impressive fourth place.

With the amount of talent that comes through Britain’s Got Talent, that is definitely something to be proud of.

While rumors after the finale hinted at a possible record deal with Simon Cowell’s label Syco, it is unclear as to whether or not this ever played out.

However, if one thing is for certain, it is that Jasmine Elcock definitely has an extremely bright future ahead of her in the world of music.
